Huang Zhi Xiang Orange BlossomChina, Phoenix Oolong Tea

Beautifully crafted tea with very little broken leaf. Plaster-and-paint smell when dry with toasty notes in the rising steam. The infusion has a pleasant and full fragrance without any special citrus associations. Exceptionally thick and creamy mouthfeel. The impression is almost like liquified butter and it even seems lighter than water. There is an unexpected strong aroma of apricot from the emptied cup but none is apparent in the leaf itself. Only the slightest suggestion of astringency even in the longer steepings.
