Old Grove Shui Xian 2013China, Wuyi Oolong Tea

The steam from the first pour carries an intriguing herbal nuance, it smells rather like pot. That's interesting. Pretty matte brown lightly twisted dry leaf on the larger side. Slightly fragile, with some broken bits. A quick first infusion is sweet and smooth. Longer steepings produce deeply flavored tea with pronounced roast and no astringency. I like it a lot and would buy more. This is a $6 sample and 2 oz cost $38.
